The Al-Ahrash Reserve is located in the northeastern corner of Egypt, near the Mediterranean coast in Rafah, North Sinai Governorate. Its area is approximately 6 kilometers and contains sand dunes reaching heights of about 60 meters above sea level.

The Al-Ahrash area was declared a natural reserve by Prime Minister’s Decision No. 1429 of 1985, amended by Decision No. 3379 of 1996.
