Environment and climate change workshop

Ecoris Foundation organized a training workshop “Environment and Climate Change” in Minya Governorate from June 6th to 8th, in collaboration with Our Earth Climate Foundation for Sustainable Development and the Integral Development Action of Minia (IDAM). The workshop targeted youth from the villages of Minya.

On the first and second days, the training was led by Eng.Ali Samir, a consultant in development and arts, and the Secretary-General of Our Earth Climate for Sustainable Development Foundation. The training on the first day focused on the theme of sustainability and its importance, along with our role in environmental conservation. Ideas were exchanged, and artistic presentations were delivered on challenges such as resource wastage and increased consumption.

On the second day, the focus shifted to the negative impacts of climate change on our daily lives, accompanied by the presentation of initial solutions. Discussions revolved around issues of water pollution, waste management, social responsibility, and the significance of recycling and natural resource management.

On the third day, the environmental lawyer Mr.Ahmed El Saiedy led the training. Participants were trained on mechanisms for monitoring and documenting environmental violations, as well as environmental litigation methods. The youth formed working groups and actively monitored some environmental violations, displaying great enthusiasm and commitment to taking positive steps to address and prevent such violations.
